Landfill Art Project piece in process

I and the other artists at the Row @ the Factory have gotten involved in the Landfill Art Project, which is a nationwide project taking old hubcaps and turning them into art.  Several of my colleagues have done interesting things with the three dimensional objects.  I’m just a poor painter, so all I can do is paint something.  I got an old Chevy hubcap, so I thought I would paint a ‘57 Chevy on it.  We actually had a blue ‘57 Chevy when I was a kid.  Of course, ours was a four door sedan and not the convertible I’m doing.  But, hey, I’m an artist, so now the car of my youth is a sharp convertible.  This is supposed to be finished by Friday, so hopefully I’ll have the finished piece to post then.  More later.  jcannon1@bellsouth.net
