“Infrastructure” - new abstract painting

Regulars may have noticed that I did not post anything yesterday.  Long story, but the bottom line is that Sunday morning, out on my regular ride, I was attacked by a vicious dog and thrown from my bicycle, resulting in 8 broken ribs, a concussion, and a bunch of bruises.  I spent Sunday night and most of yesterday in Vanderbilt Medical Center, so I did not get to post anything.  Sorry about that.  This is a piece I worked on last week, and think may be done.  Called “Infrastructure” it is something of a statement piece, since the structure looks like a pipeline, which is rusty and has all the hanging threads on it.  Sort of where we are in America right now.  The colors on the original are much more subtle than on this photo.  Size is 24×36, gallery wrapped.  Price is $425.  It is at the studio, and can be seen, eventhough I am not there and may not be for several days.  Call if you are interested.  615-496-1259; jcannon1@bellsouth.net
