Geist Building painting

I’ve posted the various stages on this one before, so here is the final version.  I think it turned out pretty well.  I have some good contrast in the light and shadow on the building.  The photo does not show it well, but there is a texture from the brick in the walls.  One viewer at the studio thought it was a really good contrast of the old building and the whole “forges” thing against the backdrop of the modern city buildings.  That may be one of the things that really drew me: how the past and the present intermingle all around us all the time.  This piece is a 16×20, and I’ll get it framed.  Price will be $375, framed.  Come see it at the Factory in Franklin.  jcannon1@bellsouth.net
