Final Stage on Cute Little Kitty
I put the first stages on this cute little kitty on last week. Here’s the finished version. I really got the transparency of her eyes well. One of the unique things about a painting versus a photo is that I adjusted the values (the difference between light and dark) to make her more three dimensional. Many photos, especially those with a flash, wash out those value differences and leave a “flat” impression. A good painting will look much more life like than a photo. The kitty’s eyes really demonstrate that effect. jcannon1@bellsouth.net
