Here’s a new landscape painting I did for a client. She brought in a photo she had taken of the Cliffs of Mohr in Ireland. The place has a special meaning for her, since this is where she spread her mother’s ashes. She wanted a fairly large painting of the scene for her new house, so this is a 24×36. I was having a hard time with the foreground cliffs, and ultimately went with a painting knife to build them up and give them good texture. The texture is not that apparent from the photo, but shows up well in real life. She was very happy with the painting, so that made me very happy, too.
